Generator Prohibitions and Exhaust Extension Requirements
On-board generators are permitted, however exterior or pull-along generators are prohibited at all times. For safety reasons, all motor homes are required to utilize exhaust extensions or “smoke stacks” to channel exhaust fumes to the top of the motor home.

Reserved Parking Spaces and Dimensions
Motor home parking spaces are 17 feet wide by 40 feet long. The motor home parking pattern painted in blue overlays the standard white parking lines. Motor home parkers follow the blue striping pattern. Each permit holder receives a numbered parking permit corresponding to his/her own numbered parking space. Your motor home permit must be displayed upon entry and at all times while parked in the motor home lot. All spaces are reserved and you may not park in anyone else’s space.

Tow Vehicles
One secondary tow vehicle accompanying the motor home may be parked within the reserved space, or in other non-obstructive unreserved areas within the lot. A tow vehicle permit will be provided and must be displayed upon entry and at all times while parked in the lot. No additional vehicles are permitted to park within the motor home lots.

Rights Granted to Permit Holders
The purchase and display of a motor home permit grants the use of one specifically assigned numbered space to the applicant for the sole purpose of motor home parking on Gator home football weekends. All non-parking spaces are considered to be public areas for which no exclusive privilege is granted.

Violations and Enforcement
University of Florida Police Department will patrol the motor home parking lots periodically to enforce these program rules. Vehicles shall be subject to fine and/or removal at owners’ expense for violations including, but not limited to:

  • Failure to display a valid motor home permit or tow vehicle permit.
  • Parking in the wrong numbered space.
  • Exceeding the 17’ x 40’ dimensions of the parking space.
  • Failure to park between lines within the designated parking space.
  • Obstructing the flow of traffic through the lot.
  • Absence of required exhaust extension.

In the event that you find another vehicle parked in your reserved space, please take the following steps:

  • Confirm that you are in the correct space by matching your permit number to the space number painted on the ground. (You also may wish to look for a permit on the other vehicle.)
  • Look for a UPD officer at the lot entrance or on patrol within the lot and ask for assistance.
  • If an officer is not on site, please call the University Police Department at 392-1111 for assistance.

Failure to comply with the provisions of this program may result in the loss of motor home parking privileges for the remainder of the season, as well as non-renewal for future seasons.

Renewals
Eligible 2007 motor home permit holders may retain their spaces for the 2008 season. Those who do not renew their space by the designated renewal date will be dropped from the program, and non-renewed spaces will be offered to other applicants.

You must park a motor home in your reserved parking space for at least four (4) of the seven (7) football home games in order to be eligible to renew your space for the following season. Attendance will be taken at kick-off time. Participants who do not meet this attendance requirement will be dropped from the motor home parking program and may reapply for the waiting list. This rule is intended to utilize limited space for motor home parking as efficiently as possible.
